Radiata Stories if you have a PS2/can emulate. Every piece of armor changes your appearance and there's no recolors or reskins. Weapon variety is good too.

Only problem with MH is that once you get to GR you're pretty much forced to wear Frankenstein sets for the best skills.

Felt like they messed it up in Dark Souls 2 since some armor sets looked like plastic and shit like Smelter Demon existed and while they did include best helmet Royal Soldiers helmet was still kind of a mediocre salet.
They also messed it up in Dark Souls 3 because of the half assed display they put on for armor that somehow mangled and ditched good stuff from Dark Souls 2 worse than Dark Souls 2 mangled good stuff from Dark Souls 1. I mean holy shit. Almost all of the helmets have solid metal eyeslits that are clearly identifiable as such.
Dark Souls 1 kind of feels like the best fashion souls to me but it might just be because it was my first fashion souls. Everything looked actually nice.
Bloodborne is mostly just cloth sets. I don't see the appeal.
Demon's Souls had a smaller selection and gender specific armor so eh?

I don't know what you're talking about specifically but I'm going to hazard a probably not since they literally could not give a fuck for every helmet in this game except for Siegward's glorious onion dome which lets you see your own hideous face.
I can't think of a helmet that's not either modelled shut, open visor or doesn't give you a face full of shitty low-res iron textures when you peer inside.
