The problems with KotOR's combat has literally nothing to do with the presence of dice rolls and everything to do with a total lack of any real strategy or tactics.
The first game is spam flurry to win. The second game is spam force lightning to win. The advantage in the latter case is that force storm will murder an entire room of enemies in a second so the shitty combat at least doesn't feel tedious.

Kotor 2 had a jump in story quality when compared to Kotor 1. It's a shame that the gameplay didn't receive a similar jump in quality to go with it. Instead, they went with the same diceroll combat as the first game. Which wasn't fun. I don't know how to make it clearer than that.

It made the revelation way more intense. Honestly one of my favorite experiences in gaming. Especially because the events of KOTOR seem a little less cliche and cartoony if you go into them with KOTOR II's idea that Revan was more than just some wayward Jedi with charisma.

She made absurdly powerful connections with everything and thus was fatally emotionally vulnerable.

Kreias motivations, goals, and philosophy can pretty much be boiled down to her simply wanting others to hear her out, and consider her what she thinks. Anyone here ever try playing a hybrid? On my last playthrough I started as a guardian to beef up my combat prowess and then took the Jedi Master advanced class to get access to all the powers I wanted. Combining good strength and dex with all the lightside buffs meant I could pretty much one-shot any enemy, and also it was a lot of fun to jump around with force jump.

The only real problem with Peragus is the linearity and lack of roleplaying/options in comparison to the rest of the game, which makes replaying it kind of a pain. Otherwise it's a pretty fucking great homage to System Shock, which Chris Avellone is clearly pretty fond of.
Telos deserves far more hate, it looks completely drab and you'll be constantly running back and forth between places, especially if you do sidequests.
