finally started playing half life 2 never played it before but people kept talking about it so i decided to give it a go it's really good and it looks nice water especially been experimenting with it shooting it grenades nice splashes and all it looks good i like it now on this hovercraft opens up a bit lots of water so i'm glad definitely gonna keep playing because i really like it so far thanks for recommending

I tried playing Half life 2 but I got bored after an hour. Am I doing something wrong? I got to the whole apartment complex thing when the police are chasing you, then you escape somewhere.
The story felt really badly structured and I hate having to walk around and click on every thing until I find the way to the next level, especially since everything looks the same.

Episode 2 is excellent. Really, really good expansion. Episode 1 is okay, but nothing special.
I feel like half-life game is a perfectly crafted game. It's just well designed across the board. But it feels so sterile at the same time. There's no charming flaws to it or artfulness.
It's like a soulless super AI was presented with the idea of a video game and came up with the mathematically perfect FPS or something.

It's called poor game design. It's very easy to balance the game out with cooldown periods which are generally skippable if you want to get back into the action. Half-Life 2 will force you to stack up boxes with Alyx for 20 minutes on every single playthrough
