You can get a visceral off of all of their melee attacks, you can summon Yamamura with the Old Hunter's Bell and when they summon meteors, hide behind the plant.

When the meteors come, stand on the left side of the tree (left from the door you come in from). There, now you know how to deal with the part you had trouble with.
step one: get whirligig saw
step two: get bolt paper and beast blood pellet
