To name a few but yeah your right the controller is quite awful and its aged like shit which is why I use a 3rd party one with a different layout. It has aged noticeably worse than the PS1 as well. I mostly play JRPGs from the PS1 and they have aged much better than the N64 has. Even platformers like the crash series aged quite well.

The game is single player. It has nice stereo sound opposed to heavily compressed pseudo-stereo music, beautiful graphics and the best thing: the controller is perfect as opposed to the N64.
