Man, the only thing that is driving me crazy is the blood vials.
When I got to Lagarius, I had full vials. Actually, I had 50 in stock because the area leading up to the witches was easy. I'm really having a tough time though, and that's fine. The problem is, my stock is out and I have no blood vials to use in the fight. I have to go out and grind for vials, and echoes to buy vials with.
It's really sucking the fun out of the game. I'm okay with getting my ass beat - I was improving each time I fought him - but now I have to spend half an hour between each death trying to collect enough health consumables to be able to fight him again. I don't know how many more poor beast men have to suffer before I progress.
How do you farm blood vials fast?

After that happened once I stopped healing at all unless I thought I had a chance of winning. If I couldn't get to the last phase of a fight with minimal healing I needed to git guy.

Start at Central Yharnam, kill both trolls, ride the elevator down, let the giant fireball kill the townspeople, kill the troll at the end of the bridge and then the two others hanging out in the corner before the Tomb of Oedon lamp. Then return and do it all again. Trolls usually drop 2 at a time, it'll fill you up quickly.
And just parry Logarius, it's an easy fight.

The Central Yharnam route is pretty good, but I rather go to the Witch of Hemwick lamp and kill the like 4 axe dudes right outside the boss room, then use the echoes to buy vials. It may be less viable to do after you kill Rom, because the price increases by a significant amount, but still, that's a decent route to farm echoes if you don't want to run chalice dungeons.

Eh, not really. After you kill the old ladies near the boss room entrance, you can single out the executioners fairly easily by shooting at them. Also they're a nice way to practice some parrying, and once you get the hang of it you can get a lot of echoes with not a lot of effort in a really short time. There are also a couple of troll dudes nearby which can net you some vials.

Yeah, you can but, again, new player running into several witches with long reach and several trolls that can gang up on you is not a good alternative to a maximum of two weak trolls at any given time and a group of enemies that are killed for you by a giant ball of fire. Central Yharnam is a much better place for a new guy to farm vials, something he has to do because he lacks skill in the game.

Get good at manual rotating the camera and not relying on lock on. Lock on is sufficient for a lot of boss battles but it's vital to develop the skill to rotate the camera manually if you want to get the good-est.

Any CRD depth 5 chalice will get you way more echoes more quickly, plus some bloodgems.
