How's school, kid?

I had fun playing Dead by Daylight for awhile. It got old pretty quick but it was a lot of fun. I'm completely stoked for the Friday the 13th game now. Been messing around with the virtual cabin dev diary thing, though there really isn't anything to do with that yet.

>Play classic xbox many years ago
>Crimson Skies, my first game ever
>In the main menu there's an Xbox live option (atleast i think it said Xbox Live)
>Brings me to another menu, looks totally different
>filled with game demos, trailers, etc
>I learnt about different games from this method
>Other games like Voodoo Vince did the same thing but always had completely different demos and trailers
Why dont games do this anymore?
also
>years later
>buy xbox360 magazine
>comes with demo disc
>never worked
>searched online for answers
>apparentally they dont work, its just there for people to be scammed

PC game demos were the reason I discovered Empire Earth, Stronghold, and Magic & Mayhem. Good fucking games, all of them.

Demos?
We always had full games. Pic related, it was always 1 big game and 5-9 small games, it was the best
>>
>>345286586
Hell, I just miss magazines. I mean sure, except for a couple of publications you knew they were either bought-off by the publisher studios or were literally fucking each other, but at least the writing quality was leagues better than the shit we got with the self-glorified vloggers and anti-fun hate mongers we're stuck with now thanks to the fucking internet.

Those days were pretty short-lived after this came along.
>>
>>345288365
You spoiled motherfucker. I just had like 20 demos to play because my grandma subscribed to a PC games magazine and passed them on to me. Those were the only three games I remember though. Except for a Star Wars RTS but that was kinda lackluster.
>>
>>345286586
They are so many good games from the previous gen that I will never feel this feel. Stop playing modern trash and get on those classics. Try a new genre or two.

>it's 9/11
>play advance wars
>guilty feelings for the rest of my life as i picture my dad leaving early from work on 9/11 to pick me up from school and still stopping at fucking gamestop to buy me a game i was excited about

Just kys already you coward.
I remember those magazines.
I never bought them, but I would always steal the cd from the magazine.
>>
>>345288759
No, steam is "go to store page and download demo"
im talking about "on the disc of a game you already brought, there's another menu and has ondisc trailers and demos. you dont need internet for this"

I don't understand why people would cry over it unless they were directly affected; loved ones in the building, etc. I'm not really one to get too attached to anybody and pretty stoic in nature but I can understand crying thinking someone you love is dead or whatever. But if it's not directly affecting you like that, then it's like "Brazilians crying because their team lost in a soccer game"-tier. Except you know, thousands of people died.
