Yeah, that's basically why I talked to sane, rational trans people when I was first dealing with all of it. People that weren't going to typecast me and that would make sure I was making the right decision. /lgbt/ is seems to be the opposite side of that, which is absolutely awful if you're still in the initial struggles of figuring out if you really want to be a different gender.
