I understand and value that the appeal is feeling like you've got a lens of truth that lets you see Pokemon, but all these people saying you have to put yourself at risk like you actually have to crawl into the trunk of a car or into a dark alleyway are putting on a show. So, I finally played this game, and all I say is it's crazy addictive. This is the biggest, most entertaining time waster ever. Call it what you want, but it's bringing people together. I spent five hours walking around catching different mons and most of the time it feels like I'm not in the real world anymore. It feels like I'm in a place with elements of both the real and Poke world. Going to different Pokestops and getting eggs is cool, riding your bike and playing is dangerous but fun, and I'm having new experiences and meeting new people, people I would normally be apprehensive about speaking to. No, it's not a "videogame", but who the fuck cares? It's fun. You know, the thing /v/ hates the most. Me and a bunch of friends I made playing Go are gonna go to Central Park tomorrow to see if we can find Vaporeon more easily there. I'm becoming a normie and it feels great.
