Is 7th Dragon III Code VFD good?
Holy cow. The change from 1 to 2 is crazy. Why'd they casualize it so much. As far as i can tell, so far, 2020/2020-ii and VFD are the exact same...

I am playing through 1 and some things felt archaic.
Like the skill system needing to put several points into weak skills to learn the good ones. Also good god the flowers, fuck the flowers.
As for the first one I am using a Samurai, Medic, Mage, and Knight but I feel like I might of picked wrong.
Played it a bit back. It was pretty fun but I did have a problem with the slowness of battle.
Of course this was right after coming out from Bravely Default so I was used to real fast autobattles.

The original 7th Dragon's skill system was heavily based on Etrian Odyssey's, as 7th Dragon's director also directed the first EO.

If you have a Samurai and Knight you should be fine. You actually have a way to counter both the encounter rate and the flower damage.

As for flower damage I used the in-game cheat to spawn a guy who gives me an anti flower accessory
