Part of the problem with Smash 4 is tgat the slow physics encourage campy play, and reward bad players, making the game more luck based than skill based.
If you add more defensive options in the for of better movement as you had in Melee, the game becomes less campy.
Also, a grab parry might be necessary due to the dominance of shield grabs to open combos (though if shields are beefed through slower recover, that problem is partially fixed), but also the previous dominance of chain grabbing.
The game can be fixed. People just need to not dicksuck PM or live in it's coattails.

Squid landed in top 8 in one of the socal events when all of socal's big players were there. Infinite numbers was a no name who suddenly got 9th at pound. Wizzy was 23 and around 10 spaces away from s2j, but he has beaten S2j in the ditto, as well as landed falcon in top 8 several times this year, scoring as high as 4th 3-0ing fucking Hbox.
Well, it was a regional, but Triple R landed kirby in top 8. Almost beat Esam too.

1000% this. I used to go to a venue near my old college with smash players that tried to include SFV and UNIEL. We had maybe 10-15 people show up for SFV and UNIEL. 70+ for smash. I never want to be in a room with smash players because I swear they never heard of deodorant or body wash. One of my friends knew a smash player who went to that venue and told me he would go A WEEK WITHOUT SHOWERING.
