You're literally retarded if you dislike 1.
It has probably the most unique atmosphere of any platformer of that era.
The feeling of isolation but not desolation, the amazing architecture, the music, and especially the level design.
Everything about Spyro 1 is perfection.
2 and 3 are excellent games but they lack that level of polish.
You have to remember that Insomniac ran out of time with 2 and 3 especially.
