What did /v/ think of Life is Strange?
I didn't play it so I have no opinion
it's strange
Only played for an hour because it was boring and made me nauseous. It wouldn't let me make cunty decisions, it always made me rewind time to pick the "right" thing.
MAX A PERFECT
Another "Your choices matter!" game that squandered it's interesting setup with another "Haha they totally don't!" ending that was even more blatant than ME3, which I didn't think was possible.
I went into it cautiously optimistic, and came out of it pretty much wishing I could watch every single character die in a fire.
I forced myself to finish it because I have this stupid habit of believing that there's a chance that things will get better if I give them long enough, but that just never happened. Horrible, horrible tedious slog that was.

To be fair, if you pick the Bae ending you can assume most of them died in the tornado, which is closer to that sentiment than games usually let you get
I really liked it but some of the writing is really French tier and then your choice don't really matter in the end.

It was an absolute blast until the ending where in order to save Chloe you had to reset the whole game.

Chapter four just starts going in a bad direction, and becomes far worse at the end.

I did, but it didn't help. I wanted to watch all of them, ugly, bland sjw Max included be the cast for the next Hostel movie.
Not only is the tornado not really satisfying in that regard, but Shitheel McGee and her blue-haired dyke co-star still get to truck on into the sunset together unscathed. Fuck that noise.
Honestly I hope whoever wrote any of these characters, and anybody who resembles these characters in personality in real life, all die of some horrible, rotting cancer. I really feel like the game was just that insultingly bad.
It's a flawed game but I loved it
Finished the game yesterday. I generally hate "muh feels" games but this one hit me pretty hard. Made me feel old and bitter, even tho I'm just 25. The concepts of idolized friendship (friends who got your back no matter what regardless of what's happening), and the simplicity of youth really hit me hard. So it turned out one of those games that made me look back at my life and just feel anger about it. Also endings (even tho I hate it's one of those "none of your choices matter" game) are genuinely hard to pick from. I don't think the writing in the game is that good but somehow they managed to create compelling characters and the ending where you sacrifice the town felt literally that - you admitting the character of Chloe hooked you up. Altho I wanted to sacrifice her at first they kinda changed my mind in Ep. 5 with everyone going how Max got her powers for a reason and she's part of something bigger. Total reset didn't feel right after it.
