Peace Walker ends with Big Boss's declaration of moral dismissal, stating that he and Outer Heaven will fight for the sake of it. Given his own statements in MG2, it's not hard to put shit together.
In MGSV we see Big Boss willingly fuck over somebody for his own safety, while also passively causing the deaths of an entire hospital's worth of people in order to smuggle out the decoy and save his ass. Venom wasn't too bad in MGSV, but he ultimately still goes through with Big Boss's bullshit.
Big Boss just got worse and worse with each new installment.
