Dragon Quest can literally sell over 1 million copies in the west for a single entry and guess what, Square will still call it a complete and total failure worse than getting nuked twice.

I went to Tokyo for a month earlier this year and I can confirm this. There are ads for it EVERYWHERE and little demo stations set up on street corners. Probably the game i saw most over there was dragon quest.
