Savage tried a action game/RTS hypred thing. There is EA version on steam now.

There are probably some F2P.
here ya go. literally age of empires in 3d with the ability to modify and control individual units. give the big one 8 gatling guns and go to town, if you can somehow find a copy. games from 1999 so good luck getting it running

Battlezone supposedly has FP.

oh yes that too, its actually ALL first person i think, from memory. the games also still updated, like, 12 years after its release by some of the game devs themselves.
warning: the controls are fucking balls. it was like, turn left and right is on the mouse, and aim left and right is arrow keys, and space is shoot, wacky shit. that game also was like the only game is a fucking long time to have word deforming weapons. thumper? it made a shockwave in the ground and if you took the faster speeder scouts, you could surf it like a wave, lots of fun
its weird that this gets asked because i just dug out all my old cds and have both of these games about 5 feet away from me right now. i should upload machines rts since its like non-existent on torrent sites

IDK, Machines doesn't seem as fun as something like Savage. The multiplayer is where this idea is super neat for /v/ to maybe come together.
Uprising is the OG FPSRTS. I played the fuck out of this game over and over again. Must have beat it 100 times.

yeah, battlezone was more neato because you could move your base and stuff while machines was more static i guess
This is the GOAT FPSRTS, but I doubt many people here played it
