Somebody explain to me why this shit gets a free pass for being practically the same game with each new entry, right down to the quests, while other games get shit on for having yearly releases
The past couple games especially have overhauled gameplay to a huge degree, I don't think it's fair to say they're the same game.

Because the fanbase consists primairly of teenage tryhards trying to appear as le hardcore gameurrs and defending the blatant Crapcom rehashing at every step.
I skip every other Monster Hunter game because they hardly introduce anything new.

Monster Hunter isn't very replay friendly. Once you've beaten it once, it's pretty tough to swallow all that grinding all over again. So the new releases are repeated excuses to get back into the experience you know and love.
