You're probably (sadly) going to need it in order to understand just how shitty Xenoverse is going to be.
RB series doesn't have GT characters. RB1 has a story mode for Z. RB2 has more characters from movies and keeps the What-ifs SSJ3 Broly and Vegeta, but doesnt have a story just a galaxy mode where you fight a bunch of times for each playable character for unlocking shit. So if you want story play RB1, if you want more variety Duel in RB2.
Anyways, it would actually be better to pick back Tenkaichi 3, or Burst Limit. Or one of those DS or 3DS games
If you want to try Battle of Z just play the demo to see how shitty it is.

Last I heard the favored card to get them next after Gotenks is the SSB cards. The only one that really sees any use these days is the TEQ Goku and PHY Vegeta for nuking, the others are basically useless due to bad links.
