One of my favorite FPSs of all time.
Buuuut I'm having some issues.
I finally got it on steam but I cannot, for the life of me, get it to run.
I don't know if I'm allowed to post any "help" threads here but if anyone has any positive input that would be great.
Game starts, loads, gets to title screen
"Press any button to start"
Immediately crashes.
"r6vegas2_game.exe stopped working"
I've tried most the steam fixes besides some of the more complex stuff cause I'm a pleb.
I've tried renaming the launcher, didnt work.
Verified the cache a dozen times now.
Continually says
"3 items were not found and will be reacquired"
Obviously it's not doing that, because It's said it multiple times.
I'm kind of at a loss.
64 bit
i7 2.67ghz
13gb ram
AMD Radeon HD 8700 (yes I know I have an underpowered graphics card lol)

And copy it somewhere for the time being.
2. Now go back and in steam Right click on the game and Delete Local content (This is why we made a copy)
3. Now place the folder back into the same location it was in and then go into the Folder and open the .EXE and Steam will pop up asking you to reinstall the game
4.Click Okay and Steam should say something along the lines of "Discovering Existing Files" then your doing it right :)"

Also, may I have the specific series or model number for your CPU? This game has some problems with certain CPUs.

Also, forgot to mention that it seems like the problem might that the DRM is not compatible with Windows 7, after doing some research.
The best option I was able to find was for you to use the Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 v1.03 patch/crack.

Right click on the start button in the bottom right corner of your screen, then click on system. You should see the processor info there.
Or you could download Speccy for better info.
As I said in another post, you need to download the crack v. 1.03. Should still work for windows 10.

As with anything that you download online, you have to be careful. I checked out a bunch of different sites and couldn't really find anything that didn't look like ass, so you'll have to either take the risk in finding that crack somewhere, or just give up.

obvious question, have you installed uplay? maybe try run it in uplay instead of steam.
also if you are running win 10 you might not actually be able to play it on that OS.
do a google search or check the steam forum.
you should verify the cache in steam too and if it needs to redownload shit let it.
also there must be a compatibility mode in 10 if you change the program to 7/vista it might work.

i'm not familiar with 10 I uninstalled it when i bought a new laptop but in 7 you right click the exe, go to properties then the compatibility tab, and check the box for 7, vista or XP maybe.
I;m sure win 10 will have it, but you should try playing it through uplay first,

It's almost certainly Securom fucking you over.
Ubisoft went through a period of putting really shitty DRM on all their PC ports like Starforce and Securom and most of it doesn't work on Windows 10.
