Just got a new pc and I want to get a gba emulator, any advice on which one I should get?
Visual boy advance
OpenEmu
I got this really good portable one for only about 20 dollars! It came in blue, and has this cartridge slot for all the games!

playing gba games on gba is for bitches who spend money
mGBA is the best GBA emulator, don't use anything else.
go to /emugen/ on /vg/ next time for questions like this
this has all the info you need for emulation:

thats the point of a pc, being able to do whatever the fuck you want

Yeah, but emulating GBA is something a pc toaster from the last decade could do.
Seems odd you wouldn't do it BEFORE you got a new PC.

i had a gbasp and i use VBA + GBA4IOS often for pokemon, advance wars, bookworm, tetris, etc.
lost a lot of my cartridges over the years, and many of the ones i still own have had their internal batteries eventually depleted.
it's also nice to be able to use save states, online network play, and get things like the eon ticket again (my RL ticket got water damaged long ago).
it's simply pure convenience. i also don't mind playing GBA/DS emulators on 2x/2.5x/3x magnification. plenty of games look as good or better up close.
