I've always seen the gun part of gunblades as more of a surprise-attack-gimmick anyways. I'd like to see some implementation of Lightning Farron's Blazefire Saber but instead of a semi/auto rifle it being a sawed off used in close range for finishing moves. One can dream, I suppose
