All other citybuilders are welcome too, but I'm going to be playing Banished.

Mods fix that. You're still doing the same thing - expanding production chains - but at least you're producing slightly cooler things.
>>
Did it ever get updated, I played this when it first came out for a few hours, built everything available then ran out of stuff to do.
>>
>>345076451
Never played it.

10th district? ;-)

Damn, haven't played Banished since launch. Has it been updated / things added? I remember making a successful village was really not that difficult. Overall a really comfy game.

I bought banished for my dad on his birthday
mostly because he always played Caesar 3 even in 2014 when banished came out and looked like it would be similar to Caesar
he has not played any other game since I bought him it so it must be fun for him at least
>>
>>345076743
i came to the thread to ask the same thing, is there anything new?
>>
>>345076504
Any tips on good mods?
>>
>>345076830
Nope. They basically left it up to modders on the workshop
>>
>>345076743
>>345076830
There are some fantastic mods out for it. Colonial Charter and New Medieval Town add tons of shit.

They don't change the gameplay though. They give you more to build, but that's it.

Got it over the sale. It's good but still super rough. I like that you can save building blue prints and the editor is great but leveling to get new classes can become a task and the editor has many flaws with it.

>>345076743
>>345076830

Look up colonial charter mod. It adds a ton of new shit.

Europe actually has much faster internet than the rest of the world because of population density, and the cool thing about Europe is that in Western Europe at least none of it is truly rural. Not like Australia or America is rural. You're never really further than an hour's drive away from a relatively large population centre - as opposed to Australia, for example, where you can be several hours drive away from the nearest human being.

The Netherlands, for example, is so densely populated that you can go from one end to the other without ever not having a building in sight.
>>
>>345079338
how do you get this nice landscape view? is it a mod on the workshop? searching "camera" on the workshop brings up nothing.
>>
>>345079741
You have to manually disable the camera limits in Cheat Engine. It's really simple, but annoying that nobody has just made a fucking unlocked camera mod.

You smell like shit, you work your ass off, and you're stuck with your neighbors for the rest of your life. That's assuming war/plague doesn't break out and your village gets raped by random soldiers/rats.

But hey, you get holy days off, and there's a lot of those!

That is right, anon.

You don't just get to a sustainable population and stop. You grow and grow and grow until you grow too fast and starve, or you stop growing, stagnate, and your population will settle into a cycle of "old people die, freeing up homes for new families, all the homes are snapped up, no new families for a while, old people die".

It's a pretty realistic microcosm of how real life is. If a nation isn't growing, it's stagnating.
>>
>>345086890
I just want a nice steady growth until hitting the max sizes not a rollercoaster or doom and gloom

I'm probably going to use B on this eventually; should I use A while it makes more sense for my current population level and switch over to B eventually or use B from the start?

B's red track is lazily drawn and would be more in line with A's loop if I fixed it; I dont intend to leave the station that looks like it's left out unconnected or not put a line through the island on the middle of the fork in the river
