I agree, I think the inability to pause a game is just fucking stupid, it adds nothing to the difficulty. Like if I'm playing dark souls and am in the middle of a boss fight where I've wittled down half its health, and then my parents call for dinner, I should be able to pause it and resume it in half an hour.

Not having separate subtitle toggles for gameplay and cutscenes.
They're handy as shit when you're jumping around and fucking shit up but I find them immersion breaking and incredibly distracting when I can't turn them off during FMVs. It annoyed the shit out of me in Kingdom Hearts.
