Now the thing I find the hardest to get used to in MoF is the way you get 1ups.
Having to keep track of faith constantly really changes up my playstyle.

If I'm not paying attention to the faith gauge,I don't even reach 150 million in stage 6 and end up losing early.
I am getting better at it now,earliest I got the 150m extend was stage 5,but it was after really exessive bombing just to get the points.

Bombing reduces faith by 5000 (iirc, unless you deathbomb). And if you bomb while there are items on the screen, try to be at/above the poc line because even if bombs autocollect items, they won't be at full value (rather, they will be at like 25% value or lower) if you're low on the screen. Anyway you don't have to worry about this too much for a 1cc but just something to keep in mind.

If I'm remembering right, replays in GFW can save the wrong path through the levels if you use the restart feature during a run instead of exiting back to the title and restarting a run like that. This causes them to crash the game when you try to view them.

If you get to Stage 2 in GFW and choose the X-2 path, then hit retry without going back to the main menu, it glitches any replays you save by saving them as the wrong path.

In fairy wars if you get to stage 2 or 3 in a run and then esc-r to restart, the next run's replay will be bugged and your score won't save correctly. To fix this, just esc-q every time you fail a run and want to restart to go to the main menu so you can restart from there. Only takes a couple seconds longer to restart.
If you're restarting from stage 1, you can esc-r just fine without any problems.

Stage one aimed bullet faeries: Streaming some of them horizontally instead of vertically might be easier, but it doesn't matter much.
Stage 2 knife-ring faeries don't feel bad about shooting them (especially because there aren't suicide bullets) if you haven't routed that yet.
Sunny's second spell: remember not to charge right after you freeze or you can trap yourself on the fire bullets, which almost happened.
Three faeries first non death: You probably already know this, but you can shoot Star with the edge of your shot if you want charge but don't want to damage her much.

Know that on the final spell there's a timing cue (you can hear it) for the freezes so you don't get flooded with bullets.

That you think I'm close gives me a lot more optimism and motivation; it's been about three months since I started playing GFW (with some lapses in practice after particularly frustrating sessions sometimes), and I'm really excited for 13 and beyond. After I beat this route I'm going to wait until I finish all the games up to 15 before I go back and do other routes, so hopefully my skills will have improved further by then and I won't have to spend another three months whining on /v/ about how much I suck.
