those aren't even remotely similar, you idiot. Some of the best stories are personal ones, centered around just a few characters, with no extended universe or back-story outside of the story itself.

Meanwhile, some of the most expansive and well-fleshed out universes serve as a setting for the most cliche, poorly-conceived stories ever.
