So I have a problem with the game where the map wont load, an anon in another thread said to try restarting the app but that never worked so I uninstalled the apk and redownloaded another one and I still have the same problem

I had a similar issue with this. I had "Allow mock locations/GPS" enabled in my Developer Options after rooting my phone. (I have a custom ROM all together.) The app tries to prevent you from GPS hacking, but you'll have to play around with it.
