Is this any good? Last time I bought into Early Access I got burned hard.Starbound - that piece of shit game had barely any content 1.5 years ago, I doubt it will be much different when it releases next week.
However, the wounds have healed and I have no choice since I already manually looked through the Steam catalog and there is nothing else I want to play besides 20 games that are already on my wishlist but that I will only buy when heavily discounted.
If the video game industry wasn't so full of suck nowadays (Overwatch, Mighty No 9, Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy 15, Watch Dogs 2, No Man's Sky, Pokemon GO), I wouldn't even take a glance at Early Access games.
Rimworld is extremely good imo.

I loved the shit out of rimworld when I played it in early alpha
nowadays they have added so much content that Im a bit intimidated now. It was originally a huge timesink. Albiet a very fun one, very punishing and gets you very invested in your randomly generated characters.
If I had a lot more free time, I would play this game, but at the moment, I dont think I have the time to invest in it.

it's a lot like prison architect, but I think it's much deeper.

I haven't played PA, but I really don't care for the style of the game. Thinking about buying rimworld or stonehearth. Mainly want stonehearth so I can build some fortresses in 3d for a change. Coming from DF. Don't know if either are worth buying though if I can already play DF.

Also Scenarios come out tomorrow, is a brand new update with loads of shit, but the main one is Scenarios, dev made and player made with workshop.

I've played DF a lot and there are things about Rimworld that I like more. Mainly that you have less people to control. Not because it's easier, but because it's a lot cozier, and you get attached to them more. More of a cozy survival feel, too. The game starts getting boring for me when I've got a base set up and people start shelling me, though.

Did that add any sort of planet colonizing or are we still stuck with the one place on the planet that we chose? Like what if I wanted to take supplies and crew and build a new settlement in the north or south to bring rarer supplies? Can we raid other settlements?
To me it looks like the type of game I drop a lot of time into then feel let down near the end because I have a cool settlement but nothing more to do.
