You're overvaluing it. I could make his videos. They're piss easy and he does pretty much nothing but recycle assets. Writing and recording his review should take a couple days. Animation is one more day. That's 4 days to play the game 8 hours a day. He should be able to log 32 hours in most games he reviews. Do you know how embarrassing it is for him that he couldn't even fucking beat the Great Jaggi in Monster Hunter?

Fucker couldn't even pay attention to the intro sequence where the main motivation for your visit to the city is outlined. Badguy has an evil formula that could be used to kill millions of people. Nothing will ever top his Monster Hunter review.
He literally argued that the whole game was gathering and gathering was the focus of the game and that all the monsters are small, and the only time you see a big monster is a teaser for endgame shit.
Forget "didn't beat the Great Jaggi", try "didn't even REACH the Great Jaggi".
Tri's intro sequence is arguably the slowest of the MH games which are notorious for taking their time to actually get to the Monster Hunting, but even bumbling totally blind into it with no gaming ability it should only take 1 hour, 2 hours tops, before you're actually hunting big game. If you play a game for less than 2 hours as a professional reviewer, and don't even get to the game's main feature, you're shit.
The Persona games, especially 3 and 4, for instance, have an incredibly long intros of many cutscenes and school scenes before you get into the actual gameplay. Without skipping them you won't be in the meat of the game for a while, but no reviewer would be taken seriously if they said "the whole game is literally just talking at a school, I don't think there's any combat in it".
And if his point was that the game takes so long to gear up into the actual gameplay that it loses the player by then, and therefore should be considered a failure for its pacing alone, then even though I disagree, that's the point he should have made. Instead he never once approaches it that way and makes it seem like he has a handle on the whole game.
