That disc exists so that people without an internet connection can still get the extra maps and game updates. Many of the maps on that disc were already free by the time it came out.

MT Framework. Granted, Capcom was the one who developed it, but it was the 360's relevance that made Capcom design such a brilliant, cross platform engine still in use today.
It's also severely understated how important the Xbox was in terms of PC gaming. Had the Xbox not existed, literally every game would be PlayStation exclusive. Since you now have two consoles to develop for, a third one isn't that farfetched, and it's already similar to the Xbox. Japan still didn't get the memo, however.
