You should have an option to show a halo depending on your level tbqh.
Like if you where lvl 120+ you'd have this cool ass white halo similar to the cover, but you can always turn it off.

You can get dobermans as equipment, which are essentially reskinned snarks.
It's also brutally difficult even on the lowest settings.

You can block bullets with your sword family

Cybercloak helps you get the drop on them, and psi-clones can help draw fire away from you.
Also, investing just a few points into torso and skull armor works wonders.
