It's getting hate because it's popular all the gameplay videos on YouTube have shown that the game is very in-depth complicated and has a shit ton of shit to do and they haven't even showed everything that you can do yet I don't get where this fucking garbage man is coming from I'm guessing the hipsters on here.

Alright, looking into it now there's a bit more gameplay than I was expecting.
I still have my doubts about such a large scale game, and I've never really been a fan of randomly generated levels, but it's not as completely boring as I thought.

You can explore planets, shoot things, build things, make money, do quests, upgrade your ship/weapons/yourself, be a pirate, play coop (finding a friend isn't as hard as people are making it out to be you'll be able to see what planet they are on on the map that's probably the main problem though because they could be on the other side of the Galaxy in which case it'll take a long ass time for you to get to them oh and also you only know what planet they're on you won't know where they are on the planet but you will probably be able to just go to a space station and then meet up there plus they've also stated that they will be implementing different modes that will make multiplayer and the game different for different experiences and stuff like that), think of it just as a massive sandbox game with a fuck ton of shit to do.
I probably missed quite a lot I'm sure someone else can fill in the details or things I've missed and there's also quite a lot of features that stuff that they don't want to say is in the game until it's out.

It's actually complete garbage, I never died once and beat the game, there is no weapon variety, animations are fucking trash, no bosses till the last floor, there is only 9 by the way and the game is way to fucking easy with a retarded AI to boot. The codex's are pointless and there's not even a new game plus and you can only unlock biomes by pressing statues that are only available for next playthrough. These new floors are admittedly harder but all the shit in this game weighs it down and I guarantee 90% of the people who have this game won't play a second playthrough.
Do not buy this game, it is garbage.

My main concerned is just how much depth there is to what you've listed
How many interesting things will there be to shoot?
How many interesting things will there be to shoot with?
How much variance in the quests will there be, or will they just be "Kill 5 X" and "Find 5 X"?
What interesting things could I build?
How fun and in depth will the space battles be?
How many interesting things will there be to actually find and encourage me to explore?
But even then, that still doesn't shake my worry about the planets being uninteresting colour swaps of almost identical planets.

Some planets will be boring as hell but if you seen the trailer they're really trying to put in as much variety as possible sometimes you might run into planets with msssive giant snake monsters for example that are actually the size of multiple ships there will be massive bosses like that there will be unique locations to huge cave systems unique buildings, massive areas and I'd assume the quests are about as unique as every other game.
