In the PS2 era there was pretty much no cursing allowed. Just a changing of the times once new systems came out and the years go on. She angrily says fuck you and he says fuck you back to her and she says it again and he does it again etc.

Literally the best combat in a Western game. Worse than Ninja Gaiden, PS2 Shinobi, Bayo/DMC 1, 3, 4... But better than Revengence, GoW, Dante's Inferno, Lords of Shadow, etc.
Speaking of DMC, I have a code for DMC4SE on Steam if anyone wants it. I bought the Capcom HB but don't really like DMC, so first person gets the code. No bullshitting.

I played through this recently and absolutely hated it

I dont fucking think so. It was glitchy and choppy. It tried its best to imitate DMC 3-4, going so far as to include jump cancelling, but the controls and attacks were nowhere near as tight as its predecessors.

Haha. No. The very first time i played the game, i caught the first boss in a stuck position and killed him while he was motionless. SSS's are handed out far easier than in any game before it.
The ONLY thing this game had going for it was the fight with the newscaster. Then you're led straight into disappointment with Mundus looking lamer than a boss from a Sonic Adventure game, and a direct ripoff of DMC 3's ending. Which by the way, was glitchy as fuck, and not even close to being as good in any way.
