It would only work if everyone gets the old vanilla cards and work their way up from there, otherwise anyone trying it casually would get raped by some silly deck that can get everything on the field in one turn.

yugioh GO is actually sounding pretty good right about now...
Would a Yugioh GO game even work? One of the main reasons why Pokemon GO is so successful is because of its simplistic mechanics, which make for very quick gameplay suitable for the normalfag on the go. Even if the game only includes the cards from the original series, a duel still takes time, and there's not much of a way to include real locations, unless you just get free cards from them. Also, the game wouldn't have the "I'm finally a Trainer IRL!" novelty that GO has because there are already Yugioh games you can play on your phone, and those haven't caught on with normalfags. What would you do to make a Yugioh GO game successful?
