That said I appreciate that From experimented with the interconnected world thing, but I don't like it as much the separate open ended levels of Demon's Souls. The world feels much bigger and richer that way.
And I like that Bloodborne combined the two methods, I think it hit the right balance.

I was never a 16 year old with an xbox so I have to say I missed out on the oblivion hype. It's really a piece of shit game. Decent graphics and if your IQ is sub 90 you may be entertained but it really feels like a theme park where I nonsensical grind because it makes me feel good like Pavlovian conditioning.
And the combat is just dreadful - but that's like saying the sky is blue when it concerns Bethesda

I would say stuff like the lighting and shadowing is better. The art direction is far blander though and DeS has more of the same shit between different areas of content while also feeling less connected. So it has even less of an excuse to feel as monotonous as it can.

You must be really new. Practically every day before Skyrim came out there were Morrowind screenshot threads showing the delicious mods. Morrowind is the only game with decent LOD.
Oblivion's LOD isn't even that good if you get a phD in LOD mods.
