Why did this game score so poorly on metacritic?
I just played it and had an absolute blast
One of the better games i've played in the last few years
Because le cinematic le experience.
Also Hayden's agent was a total bitch during the scanning shoot :^)

It didn't score badly at all, it's got a 79 on metacritic. That said, it's an adventure game which does not have the same appeal as something like The Last of Us, and has some performance issues.
I liked it
I just beat it awhile ago (3rd playthrough) with all the characters survived, even the bitch Emily coz she a qt.Can't Josh be saved from his fate? ;_;

79 isn't bad.

Nice joke, buddy. I agree that it is an interesting ride, but I just watched someone else play it, and got nearly the same experience. That's what happens when you lean almost completely on your story without having any unique gameplay qualities. What was the price on release? A full $60? It's $20 now, so I would think about it.

yeap :(
>Oh, I don't know. Is it that we collectively thought Steve Jobs was a great man, even when we knew he made billions off the backs of children? Or maybe it's that it feels like all our heroes are counterfeit. The world itself's just one big hoax.
What did he mean by this?
Great game with a great look to it but there was 0 replayability once you were clued in to the twists and the scares. Probably the best of the "walking simulators" released in recent years - it's what Telltale games try to be.

I really enjoyed it. 60 was probably too much. I ended up enjoying life is strange a bit more really.
But Until Dawn was great. I made it through, no guides, with basically everyone alive so I had no reason to play through again.

Well it is a fun story on its own. Worth watching if you can't play, and now that you've watched it, you can't really play it.
But it is FAR more entertaining when you play it because then you own the decisions. You aren't playing the game-- you're playing yourself. Its better when you are on the hotseat and what happens to the characters is your fault. But I'm not going to argue that it has truly interesting gameplay mechanics.

I've never played any of the telltale games other than the first Walking Dead and I felt like it was pretty shitty. Graphics sucked and the voice acting wasn't very good.
Until Dawn though shows how shit David Cage is
