>love revolvers in video games

>hate that reload times take so long due to its rotary mag system
I lioe the reload times! If I can't kill someone in 6 shots with a precision weapon I fucked up. It demands skill.
Play Resident Evil 4. Where Leon just stuffs all six bullets in at once. And the revolver has a faster load time than the sniper rifle.
>not finding the reload time EXHILARATING
>>344880610
just use an autoloader...
>character throws bullets in the air
>then just simply catches all of them in a single motion with revolver
cool
>rotary mag system
>not cylinder
If the revolver doesn't use an auto loader or half moon clips, there's probably a good reason for it. They're usually buffed as hell with damage too.
Revolvers are awesome though.

it's a wad, the revolver is black powder hence the powder flask

Its grease to allow better sliding of the lead ball and decrease barrel wear.

The grease is usually to stop loose sparks from setting off your entire cylinder.

Ah well. At least we can have guns at all, unlike some countries.
>>344884247

>>344884017
We don't engage in large scale pitched melee battles anymore.
Riflemen don't stand in one-position and hold off the enemy, they move around. Fire and maneuver and shit. Preferably supported by a machine-gun and direct fire support.
And in reality, in modern combat shotguns has been used more for opening doors than a combat weapon.

I still think they're around and maybe even a couple manufacturers make real working replicas.
But they are cap and ball. Not a very practical system if you actually wanna go out firing or plan on using it for self defense. Maybe some day in the future I'll plan on getting myself a New Army cartidge conversion. I don't own any guns but when I go shooting with my cousin I like his revolver more. It's not like we have a million magazines for his other guns, so we have to sit there and load the magazines by hand. Would rather just load them right into the gun.
Not practical for anything else, but nice for just dicking around with guns. Also, it's nice that the shells don't fly out. Keeps them out of the grass where we shoot and easier to reclaim.
