Back before Other M came out, Fusion was the game the fanbase loved to gang up on as being the worst. And for most of the same reasons as Other M is hated now.
When Other M came out, all hate seemed to just gravitate towards it. And suddenly Fusion was the game where everyone went 'You know, it was a pretty good game...'.

It was super easy, but I loved everything else about it. The bubbles on the bottom screen were a great idea, the music was well made (for mostly remixes), all the cute little unlockables were a nice touch on everything. Sure, it didn't take long to complete, but if the game was longer, it'd probably be the best game in the series (in which it already is, to me)

I'd say it's more because it's the only game from Nintendo we're getting all year that really doesn't have any glaring flaws. It's easy as any Kirby game, and it's not THAT long, but that's really all you can say. There's no controls to shitpost, no past bad games being carried in gameplay to get mad about, not even any censorship for /v/ to sperg out over. It's a perfectly safe sequel to an already safe series that just does what works and doesn't try to overstep its own ambitions with its main series games.
I still wouldn't call Robobot the best game ever, but I recognize it's a very solid package of Kirby gameplay and a good game worth buying for the time being to keep myself occupied.

I say the same thing over and over. Kirby needs a big budget title, one that can really stand out and change things. I really hope the NX Kirby title will be that 3D game they keep alluding to. Rainbow Curse was a disappointment, along with Squeak Squad, and I paid $30 for both. At least Rainbow Curse had some 'challenge' to it. I 100% Squeak Squad in less than 24 hours.

Super Star and Super Star Ultra are pretty unique in that regard. I liked the fact that the game was split up into a bunch of stories and game types but at the same time I didn't because certain stuff just felt too short. However, now that we've had a few singular kirby games in a row it might be a good time to attempt another Super Star.

They did Nightmare in Dreamland and Amazing Mirror as well.
