Mobas have become basically guide following, and anything not following the guide/meta is heavily scrutinized. Actually it just takes itemization out of the gameplay, so everything boils down to combining farm efficiency with adequate skillshot accuracy, and good judgment. These games have turned off literally all of my real life friends who never want to learn them despite how simple it really is to start. These games are not casual and they are incredibly competitive

I can afk in lane and still get half the last hits and they gutted support because the community was too casual and retarded to handle it. They don't even balance the champ's off relative strength only popularity. Skillshots, arguably the only part of the game you can fuck up, are even easier to land than competitors. I like league and enjoy playing it but I know it's the most noob friendly in the moba genre and don't pretend like it's difficult to stack ultimates.
