I only played STALKER once, either the first or second game to come out. All I remember is

I played one of the STALKER games, I don't remember which one, but I think it was the one where you're in a corpse truck at the start or something. I played it for a bit but it felt like fucking shit and ran like shit on my computer so I stopped playing it. Played a different one, Call of Pripyat I think, newer computer so it ran okay, I actually played it all the way through and it was pretty fucking fun. Same here but i installed some nice mods to make it look good. Played it. Enjoyed it, until the bugs started to bump. The pinnacle was the savegame bug that couldn't allowed me to advance in the story. Digging for some information found that STALKER could be modded, a lot, but that fucks the game even more. Basially the more modded the worst it gets because the engine limitations, and the more stuff you do in the world the worst until the game sends you to fuck off.
A shame thought, loved the idea.

I think I sank about 20 hours into Skyrim before I realized that it was shallow and shitty.
I was really holding out for something like my TES 2-4 experiences to happen and the game blow my mind with its cleverness. I played a while longer than I would've otherwise waiting for that, thinking that it must be in the next town or at the conclusion of the next quest. It just kinda never came.
That was launch though and I got Skyrim + DLC in a humble bundle a while ago. I'm considering modding the fuck out of it and going again.

RPG basicly means "You make the decisions and the world around you will change because of that", things like stats and perks are supposed to indicate or reflect the way your decisions are going to go, say if you have a high speech in NV, then you are obviously going to talk your way out of most situations, or opt for a peaceful solution
