Anyone playing Age of Decadence atm? I just finished the Ganezzar questline as an assassin and I'm currently finishing misc quests. Kinda fucked up my char from some quest options due to

Love the game so far, its the first CRPG i've invested a lot of time in. I tried fallout and planescape years ago, and underrail recently but I just couldn't like them.

CRPG thread I guess.

Not atm but man it's a great game
with a great amount of flaws but whatever

new arcanum game when

Assassin was the last one I played. I think I managed to literally fuck up every possible choice I was given. By the end of it I'd killed literally every other assassin they gave a name to

This was a great game. Played a legionary terminator killing the everliving shit out of anything that looked funny and laughed my way through the game by hitting people over the head with my fuckhuge falchion.

no seriously what the fuck

Couldn't get into it. I didn't like the warping at all. Game felt too much like a CYOA game book.
>>

I really want to kill Varro, hate his guts.

I've played a grifter for the Jew guild once, couldn't finish it. Any other factions that don't require me to fight?

I think Loremaster and Commercium might be your best bet.
>>
>>344852157
that's literally what I already played, except I pretended to be loremaster after conning one instead of being him for real.
>>
Currently playing it as a happy merchant. I just finished Ganezzar and now I am travelling through the desert for all those ruins.
By the way, is there a way to get the Valla armor without fighting?
>>
Very strongly dislike this game
>>

Go Praetor spec into CHR and Persuade, Impersonate and other shit.
>>
Does anyone else think Ganezzar is pretty rushed?
Especially since Meru is dead, yet the city is like before, with zealots and all.

>pretty rushed
It's just straight out shit

Isn't that the age we live in ?

You're just over a hundred years too late, anon.

I put more than 200 hours into it. It's definitely one of my favourite RPGs of the past decade.

>Kinda fucked up my char from some quest options due to
That's completely normal, and the game is made with that in mind. You can't do everything with every character and since your decisions actually have consequences you're locking yourself out from certain options. Also, it should be kept in mind that failure in some quests may open up new paths, e.g. if you fail to take Levir's gold out on your own but make a deal with him you later get the opportunity to betray your guild for him.

You can talk your way out of lots of encounters. As far as I know only the Imperial Guards have mandatory fights.

Yes.

You need to have impersonate at level 1 to get the option. Then you can show up in simple robes and pretend to be some sort of believer and try to talk them into handing you the armour.

Really, robes do anything?
After I walked into the Aurelian camp with merchant clothes while everyone though me a loremaster, I thought clothing doesn't matter at all.
>>
>>344859448
Yes, robes do something. e.g. if you buy nobles clothes in Teron you can pretend to be a nobleman in order to reach Antidas. I'm not sure whether the clothes are required or whether they simply lower the check you need to pass. e.g. in the Aurelian camp you can try to talk them into letting you in with a certain lore skill and persuasion of at least 3. However, you can also pretend to be the Loremaster Sorahb. The check will be easier if you have the right clothes and if you have learned information about him from Dellar.

For the impersonation check regarding Vallar's armour you get the robes though - no need to buy anything. You need impersonate at level 1 when talking to Esdras first so that the option pops up.
>>
>>344859662
Oh, I see. Okay, I already made an agreement with Edras, so I probably flunked that.
>>
>>344849704
Literally never
>>
>>344859763
It might as well be possible that you can still do it. Just put a single point in impersonation and see whether the option pops up. However, you also need lore and some speechcraft skill high enough, assuming you don't have a lot of charisma.
>>
>>344859827
Shit, it actually worked. With an impersonation of 2 I can suggest the zealot path to Edras.

I played AoD as an Imperial Guard. An extremely fun game, but I wish there were better characters in it, every one of them was pretty flat. Siding with Agatoth is the best ending.

Also, crossbows are broken, they were the only thing that could easily ensure death of my Spear+Shield Specialist with personally crafted gear in normal fights by the end.

Played through it a bunch of times. It's very good, and I really like how each build and class has a completely different playstyle. You outright can't do some stuff as a loremaster, same if you go full on mercenary.
The only bad thing is that the game forces you to hoard skill points and use them only when absolutely necessary to get the dialogue you want for that character. With some classes you can't get some important items, and there should be some way to get to them, like trade artifacts with the loremaster in the tower for other artifacts.
