Jesus christ I remember my days spent there.
I never really "got used" to it. I just kept exploring, like I was stuck. I didn't really know how to use a lot of the commands and I was honestly too scared to do much in that place.

I found a brief safe space of a Samurai Pizza Cats fanspace that recreated the town, and it was kind of comfy aside from being completely desolate and having this really awfully made midi on loop. I log back in the next day and its covered in porn from some passing shithead. I escaped back into the twisted hallways of low res low poly textured nightmares.

I did this for about three months straight.

I'm mostly level 4 I guess. Haven't heard of anything past that, apart from in other threads like these. Nobody seems to know much though. I'd like to know what they are. Google rarely turns up much and cannot be bothered to dig deeper.

Half of the things below level 4 are in-jokes and random ideas and not actually things. Think of Polybius.

Others are, well. They're interesting to say the least.
>>
>>344845112
A lot of lv 5 are random games that you'd be hard pressed to find. These are like my first game in unity tier but better than shit.

The ones like PC-8801 are old PCs that were region specific.

What is it about The Last Remnant that puts it at Level 3? Isn't it just a Square RPG? I got it as a gift from someone on Steam and I've never played it.

Nice font color you dipshit, I can't read a thing. Redo the whole thing in white and then turn it in again. I don't accept improperly done memes anon

I find LucasFilm's Habitat extremely interesting.
I'd like to see some gameplay, but all I could ever find was the trailer or very short clips.

"Gregor" would be the most representative of games I play but the chart is idiotic. For example, Dwarf Fortress is hardly obscure (it's well-known, not necessarily by the general public, but I'm pretty sure ~90% of people browsing this board are aware of it for example), unpopular or anything else the author of the chart might have had in mind.

Moreover, it displays the author's lack of understanding about enthusiast genres (for example, wargaming is a pretty big niche at least in terms of available titles, but Panzer General, a title quite popular and well-known to the general public, is the only representative) and seems to imply people who go "deep" are more enthusiastic about games while in fact many enthusiast games (that are typically placed towards the "deep end") are often played by people who could be described as "non-gamers". For example, I have an acquaintance who has competed for TIS-100 top lists (programming games are listed at the bottom of "The Daemon") but generally doesn't play any games.

This shit feels surreal as fuck already, and it's been less than 30 years.

I'm very curious how much stranger it will feel to people 100 or even 200 years from now, and how these IceBergs will look then. Honestly, Minecraft will probably be Level 6.

Whenever I play games, I always think about how they will be remembered in the far future, if we do make it that far.
>>
>>344845879
Yeah I dunno who thought this list up.
Why is Starsector a 4? It's not even all that difficult but mildly engaging.
Why is EYE only a 2? That shit is an arcane fucking mystery.
Dungeon Crawl at 4? Its the most casual and easily accessible roguelike I can think of.
RPG Maker at 3? That shit is fucking EVERYWHERE. Has he looked at Steam lately? The fuck.

>Minecraft will probably be Level 6
What's strange is that Infiniminer would probably be Level 3 or 4
But games that were popular mostly stay popular, or well known.
And if anyone is wondering what "Johnny" is on these charts: http://www.revengeofthesunfish.com/Kubus.html

Anyone? Has nobody played this game? It's a pretty big download to an already space starved hard drive.
>>
Are there any interesting stories or facts about games that are level 4 and below or are these just obscure autism simulators?
>>
>>344850463
Marathon Trilogy is a solid FPS made by Bungie. I'd recommend playing them. The trilogy is actually referenced quite frequently in Halo.
>>
>>344845279
>>344850317
I have never played the game, but my limited understanding on it is that it notoriously supposedly completely fucks you over if you try to grind it out and only makes the fights harder.
>>
>>344850317
Wondering the same thing. Have The Last Remnant downloaded for my Jtagged xbox 360. Haven't played it yet.
>>
>>344850463
Space station 13 at the bottom of level 3 is a literal autism simulator, the rest in 4 and below are half creepy pasta half what in the fuck
>>
>>344845279
Trying to grind past your problems makes things worse and character skill trees and progression is "complicated"
