It's a far more ground based anime fighter where solid play and good defence are rewarded, along with fair mixups and reasonable characters. You won't find guilty gear/blazblue-esque 50/50's into more 50/50's into 17F overheads into unblockable setups in UNIEL, you won't find DP's cancelled into mixups on block, people aren't gonna airdash everywhere with crazy movement and insane offense or anything of the sort. Blocking well actually puts you ahead. Good reads are rewarded, bad reads are paid for. There's no free burst to get out of jail, no invuln move canceling to OS every option. You make a decision, you live with it. The game is very heavy on patience, staggers and zoning.
There's also a lot of characters with very long range moves.
It's like an in-between of airdashers and street fighter/kof.
