Netherrealm, MKX for PC. They mad hyped it, promised "just as good as consoles" the whole way. Even shook the hand of pissed off pedro himself.
Releases with numerous and severe bugs and glitches, vastly delayed patches well after consoles and zero support. Turned out they gave the project to some third party that fucked it all up, demanded money both to fix the game they fucked up as well as anytime a patch was issued (which of course NR never paid). Support was officially dropped and no one was given refunds.
Personally? Guild Wars 2. There have never been a game that back stab their fanbase, repeatedly I might add, and still backstab to their "new" target audience.

Yokoi left Nintendo because they blamed him for the Virtual Boy's failure despite the fact that they launched it before it was finished.

How is that not a real betrayal? The man invented the Game & Watch and Game Boy, he's the entire reason Nintendo ever became a video game company. Then he has one, ONE less-than-great idea, which only failed because it was rushed from above, and he becomes a pariah at the company he made.

To be honest, it was turning out really badly.
The contests were run in the most bizarre patchwork manner - literally anybody could vote on the Japanese polls, and it was very easy to rig multiple votes. NA had the intensely shitty Capcom Unity setup, whereupon the first contest was basically waiting on the people running it to make the voting system even usable.
Megaman is stuck on the moon. Roll and the Bonnes are not. Who do we get to play as? Some new douchebag, with some new nobody sidekick that was an intensely shitty design. There was so much bitching about designs, too - I always felt they should have just given her swappable models and let the player choose.
Also Gregaman or whatever he called himself had an urgent need to be slapped in the face.
