Hey guys, finished the game yesterday. I have a couple of questions, I hope you could answer them without starting any wars or anything. I've read all the books except Season of Storms, so sources would be nice to have.
Why didn't the mages just teleport out of Novigrad?
Is Eredin's armor made of Dwimerite? If not, why didn't Ciri just teleport a couple of meters away before Vesemir started charging towards Eredin?
How much content did I miss out on ifmy Bloody Baron hanged himself?
What the fuck happened in the ending? I got the "Ciri becomes a Witcher" one and didn't understand shit. Did she just go into the portal, somehow stop the White Frost without sacrificing himself and teleported herself back to her world?
What happened to the witcher schools? Wolves decided to stop the trial of grasses, Cats started killing people for cash and were eliminated... What about Ursine, Griffin, Viper and Manticore?
And the last questions - are the DLCs worth it?The last part of the game left a bad taste in my mouth and I'd like to end my adventure with The Witcher 3 with a feeling of satisfaction, should I buy them? If yes, what level should I be?

Ok so here is Ciri's story, if I'm not mistaken:

>Yen died trying to revive Geralt
>Ciri used her magic, revived them, and teleported them to a private paradise realm
>Doing so alerted the Wild Hunt

Teleporting is advanced magic, powerful sorceresses like Yennefer and Triss can only teleport themselves and one other person at a time. A lot of the mages in Novigrad were simply alchemists and the like, not very powerful.

She was outnumbered and didn't want to risk Vesemir getting attacked

Yeah basically. They're very vague on how she stopped it probably because they didn't know how to explain how she did.

Ursine died out. There are still members of the other schools around but the trial of the grasses was lost to all so new witchers aren't being made.

Teleportation is hard, even Yen can teleport two people at most. The Witch Hunters can also track down these teleportations (who, since they're shit mages, couldn't teleport that far anyway) since they're actually good at what they do. Triss could've gone long ago, she stayed to save the crappy mages that are stuck in the city.

Split seconds decision is not that easy to make if you're surrounded by angry murder elves. Besides, she won't abandon uncle Vesemir.

Ciri succeeded where Alvin failed and defeated the White Frost. She got back, gave Geralt a hug, and they celebrated this in Dandelion's tavern.

They became obsolete. Witchers are no longer needed en masse since there are less and less monsters. They simply died out.
