That would mean that Capcom has the marvel license again. Then we would know for sure that a new MvC is being made. I think we're long off from another Marvel game.
Back then, Capcom released MvC2 for PSN/XBL before announcing MvC3.
So yeah, there will be no sign of anything happening unless suddenly UMvC3 is up and remastered for PS4 and XB1.

Huge e-sports draw from an updated Marvel game with the Capcom name. MvC3 was the biggest streaming game in 2011 at the start of the trend. They will want to capatalise on it. Especially since WB has Injustice 2 primed to go next year.
