None of that is new nor adds to the gameplay in any significant way in terms of strategy. It only makes things flashier. I still see dumb a.i. and framerate issues in that clip. You're not incentivized to mix up your tactics like in the original Zelda or Link to the Past. It's a problem I have with all the 3d zeldas. Nintendo has been casualizing their games slowly since the beginning, and they've progressively gotten worse. It's really laughable that you even say you're above "casuals" in the slightest.

Can you die in BotW? Because from the gameplay I saw, it excruciatingly hard to die unless you went out of your way. But with the Horizon demo, the enemy actively tried to kill you and it was clearly a battle with clear strain on the player being shown.

Even if games have it, I will not use it, making the feature moot for me. Splatoon does add another layer of challenge as you actually have to be aware of the entire situation to play effectively, a challenge that would be negated with voice chat. Monster hunter multiplayer does not even require voice chat. What do you want to do, take turns whacking? My team always just charges while someone snipes from far away. Works well most of the time
