Zestiria isn't as bad as people say. It's certainly not up there in the best Tales games, but it was like a solid 7/10.
Lots of underwhelming shit, but they did a few things right. Like having the elemental trial music play while you're in a battle. Also they did a great job at focusing on your seraphim party members. Exploring the fields wasn't super interesting, but the music and scale of the field when you're first tossed in gave me a feeling of exploration that none of the other games before did for me.

Not him but I don't hate Rose. Her character did not fit what Zestiria was about. She is a demi-god in the game. Her only weakness is that she can die.
Also Sorey is a very shitty protagonist. He is a yes-man through and through. The cast didn't also feel like they were close at all, which can be blamed on how Zestiria's world worked.
The only saving grace of the cast is Edna.
Anyone who's played Zestiria - what the fuck is the deal with the equipment upgrade system? I have no idea what the fuck i'm doing and I feel like i'm doing it wrong.

How to spot a dubfag
Something about this game tells me that it's gonna be a Tales game done right. That even if it sucks overall I'll be able to enjoy it between the characters and the grinding. The combat looks okay too.
Even after all the shitstorm of Zestiria it just feels like they are gonna do it right this time.
