Ok I guess. Polished the gameplay up a whole bunch. Views on Greenlight have started going way down. No votes for hours besides the occasional negative vote. Blanco sad.

Slow. I haven't devved in a while now. I was taking a break to make a scripting tool for entities(to make creating bosses and enemies easier). After planning that out I realized just how much work it'd be before it was even usable, so I might just bite the bullet and code them manually. I know I'm just doing everything I can to avoid working on the actual game though.

Alright but I'm at a part where i have to figure out whether to be more hack n slash nier or more zelda dungeon like, there is two protagonist who team up in combat (piggyback ride), and i kinda want them to be able split up later but that'd might make dungeons harder to design

Are there bosses? If there's multiple bosses, you should show a video of one of them that looks fun. If you need to, I'd say make a complicated boss that looks fun just for the video

Also also, your description is pretty sub par. I don't know what other devs put for a description, but I'm not a fan of "asking questions". Especially starting off with saying retro. You can use the word, but I wouldn't put it front and center. It makes me think of indie pixel platformers.

Also, the vegas level doesn't feel like vegas. No slot machines, no signs and flashing lights on them. It would be a great place to have dice come rolling in and damage the player if they are hit. Roulette wheels would be cool since they could offer both a moving platform and damage from incoming dice

Just started today. Been thinking of a story for a long time. Set in post-post-post-post apocalyptic planet. Lost tech seems magical and maybe 5 characters in the entire game have any idea how to use it. possible body horror World will be huge, but you won't get to explore all of it because like in life, you can't do everything.Gonna have the sad dad dynamic. In the end you must choose between revenge and saving the kid. you die in both endings

Don't know yet. Will likely be turn based rpg. Puzzles maybe. It's way ambitious, but I'd like it if the combat was like Chrono Trigger.

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm writting shaders (those were actually created in ShaderForge, which a node editor, actually).
They are the code that makes materials behave the way they do.
You can do all kinds of stuff, from adding a texture, to modifying the vertex positions in a wavy way, like in that smoke gif

Artwise, it would be great if characters perspective matched the cameras perspective. I know Zelda didn't do that, but we let them get away with that because of masterful execution.

The Trees need to have smaller trunks, so that trunk and crown aren't the same size, else it looks like a child's drawing.

You need to add some kind of alert phase to enemies, like maybe they vibrate for a moment or something before attacking you(or whatever it is they do) so players can gauge how much margin for error they have.

Its the only segment like this, most of the game is regular platforming and avoiding enemies since you can't hurt them
