I'll never understand what these Smash clones don't understand about Smash. The characters aren't tryhard edgy shit, they're simple colors and geometric shapes besides the anime swordsmen. They're all overdesigned to hell and back.

What they don't get is very subtle stuff about animation. Like characters freezing on hit, the screen shaking, etc. Shit that adds impact and actually makes the gameplay feel good.
