The people playing Pokemon Go are not pokemon fans, I'd be willing to bet a good chunk of them haven't touched the franchise since Red and Blue. They certainly don't own a 3DS and definitely won't be buying Sun and Moon. Go players are just bandwagoners if anything, they probably own PS4s.
